| The design guidelines and bylaw, developed for the industrial area of Kelowna, balance historic preservation and new development. The guidelines allow for the integration of a historic railway station and district into the town fabric while allowing new housing and light industrial development. The design uses an existing stream to form public open-space linkages to the lake and a landscape buffer for the housing. | |||||||||||||||||
